Why don't you do TL;DR?

Why don't you do TL;DR?

The answer is simple (but may not be short enough for you.)

  1. We believe that, thanks to the Interwebs, there is a severe loss of attention span. People are not reading like they should, and as a result, they miss the context of things. That then triggers them to automatically shut down and refuse to acknowledge strong arguments for or against a topic.
  1. We are writers. We think that we need to clearly explain our points. We can't do that in 1-2 sentences that don't explain why we think what we think.
  1. Quite frankly, we don't feel we need to. If you can't be bothered to critically process what we're saying, we don't really want you here in the first place.
