Why don't you do TL;DR?
The answer is simple (but may not be short enough for you.)
- We believe that, thanks to the Interwebs, there is a severe loss of attention span. People are not reading like they should, and as a result, they miss the context of things. That then triggers them to automatically shut down and refuse to acknowledge strong arguments for or against a topic.
- We are writers. We think that we need to clearly explain our points. We can't do that in 1-2 sentences that don't explain why we think what we think.
- Quite frankly, we don't feel we need to. If you can't be bothered to critically process what we're saying, we don't really want you here in the first place.
